چکیده

With the rapid development of economy, urbanization and industrialization gradually become an important driving force groundwater chemical evolution. In this study, Lanzhou City, which is one biggest industrial cities in northwest China, was selected to investigate impacts city on quality. Several hydrochemical methods together with principal component analysis (PCA) were used for hydrochemistry evolution characteristics sensitive factors chemistry different urban functional areas City. The results show that 96% study area cannot meet quality standards China. main affecting are SO42?, TDS, total hardness, Mg2+ Na+. Urbanization lead further deterioration already naturally high TDS groundwater. NO3?, Cl? NH4+ characteristic human input sources commercial residential areas; Fe NO3? new urban-rural junction; Cl?, Total Fe, Mn2+, F?, I?, Pb2+, Cr6+ As3+ areas. Domestic sewage infiltration manure Nitrate fertilizer irrigation leading increase nitrate nitrogen area. Industrial wastewater leakage organic pollution promote dissolution minerals aquifer (the fluorine-containing reductive iron manganese oxides) petrochemical

Numerical Simulation of Groundwater Flow in a River Valley Basin in Jilin Urban Area, China

In order to evaluate the groundwater resources and aquifer system of the Jilin urban area (JUA), a groundwater numerical flow model was established by using the groundwater modeling system based on data from 190 boreholes. River stages were interpolated to control the groundwater flow field. The input parameters such as hydraulic conductivity and specific yield were based on data from 260 pumpi...

Evaluation of Groundwater Chemistry of a Central Kerala River Basin, India using Multivariate Analysis

Statistical processing of data was necessary to arrive at a reasonable conclusion regarding the chemical behavior of groundwater in a river basin. Multivariate analysis was done to elucidate the groundwater chemistry of a Central Kerala River basin. Hydrochemical parameters like EC, pH, TDS, TH, Ca, Mg, Na, K, Cl, F, HCO 3 +CO 3 , SO 4 , total Fe were estimated in the pre- monsoon and post-mons...

Impacts of urbanization on net primary productivity in the Pearl River Delta, China

Great changes in land use/land cover from rapid urbanization have occurred in the PearlRiver Delta, China. As the primary cause of land development in the urbanization process, urban expansion has mostly occurred on land with higher NPP, significantly impacting theregional ecosystems. The primary purpose of this study was to reveal the impacts of urbanexpansion on the regional NPP. The land cove...
